Dear Ed, Hoping this note will find well. Firstly, my sincere apologies for taking this long to respond to your note, I think my old age and the Dili/Brisbane/Australia disruptions prevented me to be more attentive with posts such as ours. My friend, I won’t promise, but I will try my best to turn up in Western Australia someday soon, and indeed, I will definitely let you know in advance. I haven’t been in outside Perth apart from Perth airport back in mid 90iss, a connecting flight. I have a few friends, Timorese and Western Australian as well, from Perth to Karratha. Dear Mr. Edward Willis, My name is Afonso Corte Real, I am the first great-grandson from the vertical lineal descendant of Dom Aleixo Corte-Real, the Liurai of Suro. Since 2000, I commute between Australia and Dili Timor-Leste where I spend a big percentage of my time these days. Dear Mr Edward, I am taking this opportunity to thank you for your work and the post, we had few Portuguese versions of this historical account, but this one is special, because it’s equally important and narrated in English. It is a great contribution to continue sustain the story within this Asia/Pacific region for generations to come. Here, I remember and honour my ancestor and all the great heroes, who did not give in to the Japanese tyranny.
