RH man believed to be TX4772 Private Arthur Ernest Butters, ex 2/40th Battalion, joined the unit on Timor as a Private, after the fall of Koepang, approx March 1942. After the campaign on Timor, he embarked with the "D" Platoon, for Australia aboard the Royal Dutch destroyer “Tjerk Hiddes” on 11 Dec 1942.
