Ernest (Dudley) enlisted in Citizen Military Force (Reserves) on 12 Dec 1938 and was promoted to Corporal on 3 Apr 1939, Sergeant 1 Jul 1939 and commissioned Lieutenant on 25 Aug 1939. He transferred to the A.I.F. on 18 Jul 1940 and was promoted to Lieutenant. He was posted to 8th Division, Australian Army Service Corps(AASC) on 24 Jul 1940 and was promoted to captain on 17 Oct 1940 and transferred to Headquarters, 8th Division, AASC on 21 May 1941. He was attached to No 1 Advanced Maintenance Party, Sparrow Force and embarked for Timor aboard M.V. RUYS on 6 Jun 1941. He joined the unit on Timor as a Captain from AASC, Sparrow Force, after the fall of Koepang, approx March 1942. He returned to Australia on 22 Aug 1942. He was awarded a Commander in Chief Commendation Card for service in Timor, Authority, Army Order 69/43 and was Mentioned in Despatches, London Gazette, 25 May 1943 and in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No 119-3 Jun 1943. These are the two Gazettes for the Timor Campaign. He was appointed Liaison Officer with Allied Geographic Section (Netherlands Forces Intelligence Service) on 14 Jun 1943. He transferred to the Australian Intelligence Corps on 27 Aug 1943 and promoted to Major on 10 Dec 1943. He flew from Australia to the Philippines on 27 Feb 1945 and returned to Australia on 7 Mar 1945. Horace enlisted on 17 Jun 1940 and was posted to 2/40th Battalion. He embarked for Timor on 8 Dec 1941 and joined the 2/2nd on Timor as a Private from 2/40th Battalion after the fall of Koepang, approx. Mar 1942 and embarked aboard "KURU" for Australia on 9 Aug1942. He was discharged on 9 Nov1945. He was entitled to the 1939-45 Star, Pacific Star, War Medal and Australian Service Medal 1939-45, pictured below.

William served as a Sapper in 5th Field Company Engineers in WW1 from 14 Feb 1916 and was awarded a Distinguish Conduct Medal and promoted to Lieutenant and awarded a Military Cross, discharged 2 Mar 1920. He was awarded an Efficiency Decoration between the Wars for service in 10th Battalion in Citizen Military Force (Reserves). He enlisted in the A.I.F. on 2 Jul 1940 and appointed Temporary Colonel on 6 Oct 1941. He was appointed Temporary Brigadier and posted to Headquarters, Sparrow Force on 12 Feb 1942. He joined the unit on Timor from Headquarters, Sparrow Force, after the fall of Koepang, approx March 1942. He embarked for Australia on 30 May 1942 and had numerous postings during WW2, being Mentioned in Despatches, London Gazette dated 17 Jul 1945. He was discharged on 24 Apr 1946.

Joseph enlisted on 1 Sept 1941 and posted to Engineer Training Depot on 25 Sept 1941. He was promoted Acting Corporal on 11 Nov 1941 and Acting Sergeant on 3 Dec 1941 and transferred to Australian Army Service Corps, Sparrow Force on 9 Jan 1942. He joined the unit on Timor from 2/40 Battalion, after the fall of Koepang, approx. March 1942. He returned to Australia aboard "KURU" on 8 Aug 1942. He transferred to M.G.O. Design Division on 19 Aug 1943, then to 25th Australian Maintenance Platoon on 22 Sept 1943. He transferred back to M.G.O. Design Division on 18 Jan 1944 and his rank of Sergeant was confirmed on 15 Apr 1944. He was discharged on 30 Nov 1945. John enlisted in the Citizens Military Forces (Reserves) and was posted to 22nd Light Horse Regiment 12 Nov 1929 with Service No 253523 and was promoted Captain on 18 Nov 1936, Temporary Major on 24 Oct 1939. He transferred to 4/40th Battalion on 30 Jul 1940 and transferred to the A.I.F. on 13 Aug 1940 and given the rank of Captain. He was promoted to Major on 2 Aug 1941 and embarked for Timor aboard "ZEALANDIA" on 8 Dec 1941, joining the 2/2nd as a Major on Timor after the fall of Koepang approx. Mar 1942. He returned to Australia on 19 Aug 1942 and was posted to 22nd Australian Motor Regiment on 1 Oct 1942 then to 6th Australian Armoured Brigade on 23 Jun 1943 and then to 26th Australian Motor Regiment on 20 Jul 1943. Attended Land Head Quarters School of Mechanical 2/2 Motor Wing Course for senior Offrs from 5 Mar to 18 Mar 1944. He was posted as Officer Commanding, No 38 Australian Workshop Company on 20 Aug 1944. He flew to New Guinea on 12 Oct 1944 and embarked for Bougainville aboard "JOHN LYKES" on 7 Nov 1944. He returned to Australia aboard "GORGON" on 1 Aug 1945 and placed on the Reserve of Officers List on 19 Dec 1945. John was awarded a George the fifth Efficiency Decoration (this is a Reserve Offrs Long Service Medal) under Commonwealth of Australia Gazette; 215/3201/46. Ian enlisted in the Citizens Military Forces (Reserves) on13 Feb 1939 and was posted to Eastern Command, Australian Army Service Corps (AASC). He was promoted Corporal on 3 Apr 1930, Sergeant on 1 Jul 1939 and Commissioned Lieutenant on 15 Jul 1940. He transferred to the A.I.F. on 28 Mar 1941 and transferred to AASC Sparrow on 4 Aug 1941. He embarked for Timor on 8 Dec 1941 and joined the 2/2nd on Timor as a Lieutenant from AASC, Sparrow Force, after the fall of Koepang, approx March 1942. He was medevac'd to Australia from Suai aboard "KURU" on 8 Aug 1942. After medical treatment he was posted to NSW, AASC Training Depot on 15 Nov 1942, 35th AASC Company on 13 Apr 1943, 160th Australian General Transport on 6 Aug 1943. He was promoted Captain on 11 Mar 1944 and posted to 116th Australian Transport Platoon on 8 Aug 1944. Ian was discharged on 13 Nov 1945. Timothy joined the unit as a Major, on Timor from Headquarters, Sparrow Force, after the fall of Koepang, approx March 1942. It is not known when he was evacuated from Timor as his service file is not available. He was Mentioned in Despatches, London Gazette, 25 May 1943 and in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No 119-3 Jun 1943. These are the two Gazettes for the Timor Campaign. He is known to have been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire, Military Division, (MBE), London Gazette, dated 29 Apr 1944. Companion of the Distinguished Service Order, (DSO) London Gazette dated 4 Mar 1947. United States Bronze Star Medal, Commonwealth Gazette, dated 15 Jan 1948. After WW2 his Service Number changed to 381 and he attained the rank of Major General and was awarded the following, Commander of the Military Division of the Order of the British Empire, (CBE), London Gazette, dated 31 Dec 1965. Companion of the Military Order of the Bath, (CB), London Gazette, dated 31 Dec 1971. He was discharged on 5 Aug 1972. The CBE would be an upgrade of the MBE, which he would cease wearing. He would be known as Major General Timothy Frederick Cape, CB, CBE, DSO.
