    Ivor enlisted on 19 May 1941 and completed the training at Wilson's Promontory. He was an original member of the unit, even to the point that he went to Darwin with the unit but did not embark. He returned to W.A. and served in numerous units, until posted to 3rd Australian Corps Provost on 21 Sept 42. Promoted Acting Corporal 1 Jan 1943 and confirmed Corporal on 11 May 1943.

    Ivor was discharged on 11 Mar 1946.
