Bernard was an original member, aboard “S.S. ZEALANDIA” on 8 Dec 1941 for
Timor as a Private in No 3 Sect, “A” Platoon.
He embarked at “Betano” for Darwin aboard “KURU” on 2 Sept 1942 as a Private.
After leaving the unit he served in the following
75th Aust Dental Unit
13th Aust Infantry Training Battalion
44th Battalion
2/ 24th Battalion
11th Aust Dental Unit
He was discharged on 16 Apr 1946.
