    Alfred enlisted on 10 Sept 1941 and his service papers are unavailable due to post WW2 service. We know he embarked for New Britain aboard “TAROONA” on 9 Apr 1945 with the unit as a Trooper and was discharged from the A.I.F. on 3 Apr 1946.

    He served with service number 4400107 in the  Korean War with 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment from 7 April 1952 to 24 March 1953 as a Private.
