    David was an original member of the unit, embarking aboard “S.S. ZEALANDIA” on 8 Dec 1941 for Timor as a Private in No 3 Section, “A” Platoon. He was Killed in Action near BOBANARO during the Japanese August Push, on 12 Aug 1942 and is buried at Ambon War Cemetery, Plot 19. Row C. Grave 8.

    He is the brother of 2/2nd member, WX13510 Francis James.

    He was entitled to the 1939-45 Star, Pacific Star, War Medal and Australian Service Medal 1939-45, pictured below.
