Dave
Hi, my grandmother married Willaim Sharp in the late sixties or early seventies and I grew up knowing "Bill" as Pop. I am extremely proud of his service and as a result I joined the ADF and served ... no doubt due to his influence. Anyway after he passed away I was gifted his medals and other items which he kept from his time in the services. The items include numerous photos (some of which have details written on the back) his medals (which are framed and on display) and a Japanese silk rising sun flag with Japanese writing on it. I sent photos to the Aust war memorial and Japanese embassy hoping for a translation however the written over time had becoming harder to read. I understand he killed a Japanese officer in either Ramu Bulolo Valley during his deployment. Anyway I digress again ... mu question is would you have somewhere to display these items and an address to send them to. They are in my mins to important to sit in a box in a draw. Kind Regards a very proud patriot !
